Keeper of Temple - 5 Years of Service

Picture5 Years of Service Heart
This month marks the 5 year anniversary of Singing Otter’s volunteerism in Red Tent. As I thought on the words I wanted to convey, I asked myself, how I could best capture and summarize what 5 Years of Service look like?

It is 60 months and, by my estimation, at least 6 hours given freely each month amounting to 360 hours of volunteer management.

During this time, Singing Otter has managed our private Facebook group, routinely reviews and contacts Sisters who haven’t attended Tent to check in on them and to determine if our group is still of value for them, she tracks attendance after Tent and balances the budget each month to ensure we are able to continue purchasing the red Goddess candles, cards, and other ceremonial supplies, pay our Priestesses, and gift our Hostesses a meaningful Goddess, of which she takes the time to researcher at length.

She has Priestessed, at least 13 Tents including 4 Winter Solstice Ceremonies, 4 Rose Blessing Ceremonies, and 3 Goddess Nights Out. She thinks about the little things that make a big difference, like paraffin wax dips, especially needed during the driest and coldest Winter months. In addition to Priestessing, she has also Hostessed at least 4 Tents and given us countless hours in Service as a Minister and Counselor, and overall – safe person to be vulnerable with.

She is our beloved friend and devoted Sister who continues to serve the Goddess in the many ways she serves the continuity and connection of our Sacred Sisterhood.

Thank you, Singing Otter, for your devotion and service to our Red Tent Temple and Sisterhood.

Surrender into knowing you are your own deepest love.
